Age of Astir Trailer Contest

Dear players,

We’re launching a contest for the best official trailer of Age of Astir.
Below are the requirements, assets, submission steps, process, timeline, and prizes.

📋 Required Structure (strict order)

  • Prologue — Intro: project logo + the game title “Age of Astir”.
  • Showcase: combat system; character creation window + brief guide to races and classes; available locations and activities.
  • Epilogue: the main villain — Bram.
  • Final screen: website link + project logo.
  • Trailer duration: 1–5 minutes.
🔊 Audio & Music
  • Music — only from the provided in-game samples.
  • Voice-over is allowed; the recording must be clean (no background noise).
  • If there is voice-over, music must stay in the background at a reduced volume — it must not overpower speech.
  • Third-party tracks/samples and rights-infringing materials are prohibited.

📦 Assets for Participants

Download the assets pack (music, artwork, logos): Google Drive

Usage Rules:

  • Editing and trimming audio/video are allowed, but only with these materials.
  • Do not change the logo’s shape/proportions or distort brand colors.
  • The pack is intended exclusively for this contest.

🌍 Voice-over Languages & Divisions

  • Supported voice-over languages: RU, EN, JP, CN.
  • Entries with different voice-over languages are judged in separate divisions.
  • The same prize place can be awarded to different participants if their trailers are in different supported languages.
  • Multiple language versions = separate submissions (send separate links).

🏆 How We Judge

Who: the project community (open voting).

Criteria: adherence to structure and requirements, coverage of systems, editing & rhythm, visual clarity & creativity, balance between voice and music, overall impression, and technical quality (recommended: 1080p, 16:9, MP4/H.264, 60 FPS).

📨 How to Upload & Submit Your Entry
  1. Export your trailer as MP4 (recommended: MP4/H.264, 1080p, 60 FPS, stereo 48 kHz).
  2. Archive the file (.zip or .7z).
    Suggested name: AoA_Trailer__.mp4 inside AoA_Trailer__.zip.
  3. Upload the archive to Google Drive and set access to “Anyone with the link — View/Download”.
  4. Send an email to support@ageofastir.com
    • Subject: Age of Astir Trailer Contest
    • Include in the email: the Google Drive link and the voice-over language (RU/EN/JP/CN). For multiple languages, send separate links.
  5. Important: YouTube and other content sites are not accepted (they compress quality).

⏰ Timeline

  • Submission deadline: until November 7, 2025 (inclusive).

🔄 How the Contest Works

  1. Submission — until the deadline above.
  2. Moderation & shortlist — we verify compliance with the rules and prepare a selection of valid entries for voting.
  3. Community voting — we publish a poll for the shortlist; winners are determined by the results.
  4. Results — we announce the winners on the website and contact them via email to deliver prizes.

Vote manipulation is prohibited; suspicious votes may be discarded.

⚖️ Rights & Publication
  • The winning trailer will be used on our official channels (website, social media, launcher, etc.).
  • By participating, you confirm the transfer of exclusive rights to the organizer for the created video for the full term of copyright worldwide, without additional compensation beyond the prizes.
  • This includes the right to reproduce, publicly display, distribute, make available online, edit/re-edit, localize, create derivative works, and use the trailer for the project’s promotional purposes.
  • You also confirm you hold all necessary rights to the materials used (voice/VO, video footage, fonts, etc.) and that the trailer does not infringe third-party rights.
⚠️ Disqualification Reasons (short)
  • No required intro with the logo and Age of Astir or no final screen with the link and logo.
  • Required showcase elements are missing.
  • Violation of music rules / poor audio balance (music overpowers speech, noise).
  • Duration outside 1–5 minutes.
